EADS has been forced to take a further 341m ($434m) charge for the latest delays to the development of its A400M military transport aircraft, bringing the extra costs of Europes biggest military contract to 1.7bn.
It warned that it was still unable to produce a reliable delivery schedule and said it would face further charges for the loss-making fixed price contract, possibly before the end of the year.

Shit!
Without it, EADS net income would have been of more than 2.1 billion, instead of the 1.8 billion it is going to be...

Being unable to deliver any of their civil aircraft on budget and on schedule is nothing a nice little war against some 3rd world country can't make it up for. |

As I have been saying ALL ALONG, the French should NOT be given aerospace projects to manage. |

Ah? You can ? Could I remind you that for the moment, The B787 is not a Jetliner neither a Propeller Aircraft, but just a drawing? |

The 787 is more than that, it is an idea, a philosophy, a vision, a way of life for some. Also a boon for the CGI industry. |

Airbus: interesting European concept... It can't build the widebody A380 (first deliveries two years late, has lost $20bn+ and will never break even);
It can't build the widebody A350, which has been launched seven times and will now be delayed util 2014 or 2015, with current program losses running at $12bn+ and all sales being made at 50% discount to try to compete with the ultra-successful, world-record-holding Boeing 787...
It can't build the widebody-equivalent military A400M despite the progam originating back in 1982...
And what do these Airbus fuck-ups all have in common, girls, apart from delays, losses, cancellations and fantasy economics?
Correct. Incompetent French "management".
And all because the French just don't do aerospace. |

Merci d'avance. |
