I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing for Europe. The Euro was ridiculously over-inflated as a currency, and inflation at this point can only help trade. This does nothing to change the fact that Europe is quickly becomming a province of the new world caliphate unfortunately. |

You never heard of Zeppelin Cat, the largest volume Caterpillar products dealer outside of the US,
Idiot, it only covers half of Europe

As far as German cars go, your flagship product, Mercedes Benz has quality problems that have driven its sales down in comparison to Jap products, BMW and VW. |

Sure I have. I thought they were German, from the Zeppelin name (not that I was or am the least bit interested).

BMW and VW aren't German, but Japanese products? You learn something new every day!
Anyway, try googling German exports to the USA, and US exports to Germany, even with the present euro/dollar rate, and explain to me why the USA is importing so much inferior stuff at inflated prices. Can't they make stuff themselves?

The €uro is a counterfeit currency. It is printed on the hope of the future GDP of environmentalist friendly eco-technologies. It is printed on the hope of oil reserves drying up, climate change analyst's brainwashing enough people to ride bikes and eat mungbeans and to power their homes on little 12 volt solar cells.
Fuck the €uro, their one world communist currency can fuck itself with an iron fist. |

the euro going down a bit compared to the dollar, would be a healthy thing...
if the USA wouldn't have this trade deficit towards europe.
america should use the cheap dollar to export more, so things will also get healthy in long term. |

I take it you've never been to the huge BMW factory in Spartanburg, South Carolina or the big Mercedes plant just outside of Birmingham, Alabama.
Oh, and you can keep trying to whistle past the graveyard all you like but the decline of the euro fully supports what I've been saying-namely that Yurpland has a LOT more problems with real estate being overvalued and banks not being worth nearly what they claim they are. Otherwise....why would people be buying US treasuries? |

During the first business call I received yesterday I was told the live rate was $1.4438/€1. Although it went lower, that rate's now $1.4123/€1 22 hous later. That's cool -- most of my business' revenues are in the only true international business currency -- THE DOLLAR. |

You count products made in the USA as European imports? I know that the engineering and knowhow at the plant are imported from Germany but the actual SC and Al. products are NOT imports in the economic sense. |

Obviously, they are not imports. As far as the know-how being imported.....you mean like Germany imported the know-how for assembly line auto manufacturing from America?.....not to mention all the know-how and technology that flowed from America to Germany when America paid for Germany's (along with the rest of Yurpland's) reconstruction in the 40s and 50's. |

Well, the important high technology parts, such as engine, gearbox and electronics are imported from Germany.
SC and AL do mostly basic components assembly. |

You're right of course: what have Germans ever invented? Jet aircraft, rockets, helicopters, diesel engines, automobiles, television etc. were all invented by Americans and completely unknown in Germany until long after the war. What would Europe have done without the USA? Europe wouldn't even have printing (yet another US invention) and we'd all be living like savages. |
