This should actually be good news for Europe, as a sinking euro will provide relief for European exports to the USA, on which Germany in particular depends: the 1.50+ € for a dollar level was really hurting exports. It's tough for European tourists planning a trip to the USA, but they've had their chance.

Conversely, a stronger dollar is not good for US exporters: but well, one man's meat is another man's poison. Normally, the higher oil price would be a problem arising from a weaker euro, but the oil price has dropped so much that it's no problem and petrol is also falling in price here.

I rather hoped the euro will drop to around 1.30. However, if the US economic crisis isn't solved exports might tank anyway, low euro or not.

The € was launched at 1.18 USD/€
After having climbed to 1.50 USD/€, it's now 'down' to 1.40 USD/€

Fucked ...

At its launch, the € represented 18% of the world's currency reserves.
Ten years later, it's 26%.

Fucked ...

UncleBidoche, please stick to weights, forces and masses.

You're ridiculous at it, but less than when you broach currency issues :D

Actually, its still bad news because the products you make are shit and overpriced to begin with. Ever wonder why you don't see European construction machinery in the US but you see US construction machinery in Europe, like everywhere.

When the €uro was introduced, it traded at about 129 Kelvin.

Today, its worth about 87 kmh, and losing wattage.

I think by January it'll be at roughly 150 volts.

Things are not looking good, are they Uncle_Meat?

Sure, shitty German cars, for instance, have nothing on US-made SUVs and pickups. Conversely, American cars are massively popular in Europe...

Personally I've never noticed any US construction machinery in Germany (then again, I wasn't looking). But I'll take your word for it, of course. Honest.

No, not this time eurotard. USA has always been the world's market of last resort, but it's time for the consumer to pull back and suck it up for awhile.

Go peddle your handbags in Africa slave boy :D

You're proud that the USA is becoming too poor to buy European products? Well, that's one way of pyschologically coping with failure. Keep taking the tablets, by the way. Have a nice day!

Let us see :

Trade with France : 2008

Exports 17,393.1
Imports 26,130.1

TOTAL -8,737.0

www.census.gov . . .

According to you, it is shitty, overpriced, but you still buy it. Are you guys somehow fucked up in your heads ?

Why would I buy your inferior products when your inferior currency is still 50% over weighted shit for brains?

Basics of Coué's method

The basis of Émile Coué's method (which he once called a trick) is the following principle:

"Any idea exclusively occupying the mind turns into reality."

At least 7 times a day.
Gooood boy.

My, you're a rude and unpleasant little fellow, aren't you? Why is that?

Oh, I forgot, you're American and your country is on the brink of going down the toilet - that must suck! - and what's more those nasty Europeans' currency is too high for you to buy off them. Why is that, exactly? An act of God?

The euro is just a confederate scrip. There is nothing backing it.

US crisis is damaging economies around the world.

Many european banks invested in US and they lost a lot of money.

I hope we want pay the same price as the US, because the origin is in the US.

Kneehigh,

Stick to dwarf tossing... you'll make more money and better sense at it. Euro banks willingly invested in the securites. Risk comes with investments. If your banks are dumb enough to enjoy the profits they have made for decades without knowing the downside of the investment.. fuck um
