On politicalbetting, it's now 70% of the bets on Obama, 30 on Mc Cain.
politicalbetting.bestbetting.com . . .
Here on ff.com, it's the opposite.
70% of the 20 players so far have bet McCain, representing 64% of the 10,127 played ₩. |

The prediction 'US Presidential Election winning ticket' has been disputed by jagerdr, and will now need to be closed by a moderator. This email is being sent out to all users who have taken contracts on this prediction. You may review the prediction at the following URL:

The original closer of this prediction, LMAO, suggests the correct result is 'McCain Palin' and that this is proven here:
www.foxnews.com
In dispute, jagerdr suggests the result should be 'Obama Biden' and provides the following evidence and explanation:
en.wikipedia.org . . .
"Article Two of the United States Constitution establishes the method of presidential elections.
Article Two, Section I Clause 4 of the United States Constitution states:
The Congress may determine the Time of choosing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.
In 1844 the duly elected Congress of the United States set by law the selection of national public officials by popular ballot should always occur on the Tuesday following the first Monday of November of every even numbered year (the Tuesday between November 2 and November 8, inclusively).
(One theory as to the choice of date is that November 5th is the day in 1605 on which terrorists tried to blow up the English Parliament in the Gunpowder Plot. The plot was stopped and therefore democracy survived. Choosing November for elections therefore celebrates the ending of a plot to kill democracy.)
The United States presidential election of 2008, scheduled for Tuesday November 4, 2008, will be the 56th consecutive quadrennial United States presidential election and will select the President of the United States and Vice President of the United States.
This prediction event is not about the Soviet Union, not about the People's Republic of China, nor is it about any other land where capricious despotism reigns. It is about the United States election held under the United States Constitution. As many of us have taken an oath which states in part to -- "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same" -- this prediction cannot and ought not be rightly decided for one party's ticket or the other until after 'we the people' have exercised our inalienable rights and voted by popular ballot on November 4, 2008."
What gives? |

LMAO attempt to close the prediction game is plainly dishonest and of bad faith, and should be punished proprely : all his kudos bet shoud be evenly distributed between the member who participated on this prediction, whichever was their choice of vote, lest this "false closing" was used to cancel a bet that proved unwise."
Fuck OFF, you can have my 16 KUDO'S and I will not be playing your "prediction market" in the future.

LOL
What did you think the "Close" button was for then?
And what didn't you understand in the above screen?
In dispute, jagerdr suggests the result should be 'Obama Biden' and provides the following evidence and explanation:
There's no other way to dispute a wrong closing than to declare another option as winning.
Shouldn't it made possible to dispute a result and put back a prediction in its "awaiting close" status?
Couldn't a moderator do it right now for this Election prediction? |

The situation of the bets have dramatically changed in the last days.
If McCain is still favored in terms of number of players (60%-40%), Obama is now leading for the first time in terms of played ₩ (51% - 49%).
83% of the last 4 days' players bet for Obama, 98% of the ₩ played in that period have been for Obama as well...
ff.com is slowly starting to admit that Obama could win. |

Just saw the apologies. Accepted for me. And NO ! I don't bother clicking on every betting thread I bet on.
Moreover, I saw this kind of mistake/cherating yields LOTS of kudos on other predictions, so I was irritated. |

Is it so hard to put back that prediction in its "awaiting close" status?
There's more than 15,000 predictions dollars in there, and I don't know if we can trust the ff.com's bank, those days... |
